Mission Statement

The mission of exercisephysiologists.com. is to serve all the exercise physiologists in the United States, and indeed worldwide, as an Internet center for academic scholarship, professional credibility and service, and collaborative learning.  The Center exists to oversee the three "Boards" of the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP).

Board of Accreditation
Board of Certification
Board of Licensure
The Center also exists to expand the body of professional knowledge; to develop electronic information to transform exercise physiology; to teach students, faculty, and the public at all levels through creative, critical and reflective thinking; to improve the work conditions through service and publication; and to ensure ethical and quality performance that results in the highest achievable levels of client satisfaction and recognition of excellence.

To fulfill this mission, the Center must:

1. Synthesize, and provide high quality knowledge, original inquiry and critically reflective thinking within the exercise physiology body of knowledge.
2. Provide electronic information about exercise physiology research, academics, ethics, professionalism, and other significant issues and concerns.
3. Extend knowledge-based services and other electronic resources of the center to all exercise physiologists.
4. Provide career information and responsibilities.
5. Help with governance and decision-making on behalf of the professional development of exercise physiology, particularly in regards to board certification, accreditation, and licensure of exercise physiologists.
